The Ontario Greens, led by Deputy Leader Aislinn Clancy, are vocal supporters of Grassy Narrows First Nation’s legal action against the provincial and federal governments over mercury contamination in the English-Wabigoon River system. Clancy condemned the historical neglect by successive governments regarding the health and rights of Grassy Narrows residents, who have suffered from toxic mercury exposure. She urged the Premier to take immediate action to cleanse the river and address the ongoing crisis faced by the community.
