In response to the Auditor General’s 2024 report, Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner criticized the provincial government for prioritizing profit over the needs of its citizens. He highlighted the government’s failure to address affordable housing issues, citing their lack of diligence in reviewing municipal zoning orders that threaten farmland and wetlands. Additionally, Schreiner condemned the closures of critical addiction treatment services in rural areas and the escalating costs of the Ontario Place redevelopment, asserting that the Ford government is failing to serve the people who need support the most.
