Ontario Greens’ Leader Mike Schreiner visited Wellington–Halton Hills as part of his Local Champions Tour, emphasizing the importance of rural communities in the province’s economy. Joined by local Green candidate Bronwynne Wilton, he highlighted the need to amplify the voices of farmers and local business owners at Queen’s Park. Schreiner criticized the provincial government’s neglect of small communities and its plans that threaten prime farmland, while expressing confidence in Wilton’s ability to advocate for local concerns. The tour included a meet and greet with voters and participation in the Wellington Beef Farmers’ Annual General Meeting.
