The Ontario Greens have launched a comprehensive Plan to End Legislated Poverty, aiming to address the growing crisis by raising Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and Ontario Works (OW) rates while eliminating unjust clawbacks. Party leader Mike Schreiner highlighted the alarming rise in homelessness and food bank usage, pointing out that current support rates are insufficient to meet basic living costs. With over 80,000 individuals experiencing homelessness and average rents soaring to $1,600, the Greens are calling for immediate action to ensure that those with disabilities can afford both housing and food.
